Science week 12th- 16th November
It seems we have some budding scientists in 4th class. On Tuesday the 14th of November the boys and girls visited the Drogheda Library to attend a science workshop. The children carried out different experiments, they created a parachute and different electric circuits!
4th class had a great time participating in Halloween games. As we were learning about the Celts in History we discovered that the Celts brought Halloween to Ireland. We learned all about different Halloween traditions and games and played some ourselves.
Crazy hair day
This month we have been learning about Pompeii in Italy. The children learned all about the volcano that erupted in 79AD and how it covered the city of Pompeii. For art the children also created a volcano and carried out a science experiment investigating how baking soda and vinegar react when mixed. We had great explosions in the classroom.
The 15th- 19th October was Maths week. We had great fun this week carrying out different challenges. Check out our photos and see what we got up to during Maths Week.
Our trip to Oldbridge
The children in 4th loved learning about the Battle of the Boyne. They enjoyed learning all about the battle, King William of Orange and King James II. We took a class trip to explore the battlefield itself. Check out our photos and see what we go up to at Oldbridge.
The children have enjoyed practicing their rugby skills on Thursday. They have been working on their throwing, catching and tackling skills.
